Bend Oregon Real Estate Update

It was no surprise when Mike Caba came out with his report this month from data provided by the Central Oregon Multiple Listing Service that real estate prices in Bend Oregon are down again. The median price of a single-family home was $287,000. That’s down about 16% from the July 2007 median price of $343,000.

The median price per square foot of homes sold was down to $152. That’s the lowest price since July 2005. Over 50% of the homes sold this past July were between $200,000 and $250,000. I look for prices to continue to decrease until possibly next spring. There are some really good buys on the market right now and plenty to choose from.
